Sharks agree new CorpAcq stadium deal

Sale Sharks is delighted to announce a major multi-year partnership with Altrincham-based business compounder CorpAcq. The deal will see the Salford Community Stadium re-named the CorpAcq Stadium from the start of the 2025/26 Gallagher PREM Rugby season.

Founded in 2006, CorpAcq is one of the fastest growing businesses in North West England and hit the headlines earlier this year when it was acquired by leading private equity firm TDR Capital LLP. CorpAcq’s portfolio includes over 50 companies with combined revenues of over £900 million.

The CorpAcq name will be familiar to Sharks fans as its logo has previously appeared on the back of the shirt as a sponsor during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

CorpAcq has also been a long-term supporter of the Sharks Academy, which brings through the next generation of rugby stars.

This exciting new partnership will see the CorpAcq brand proudly displayed on the front of the West Stand as well as in key locations inside the stadium bowl from the opening fixture of the new season against Gloucester on Thursday 25th September.

The CorpAcq navy and white logo will appear on the roof of the North Stand, visible from Barton Bridge on the M60 motorway.

The deal will mean that Sharks’ former home, Heywood Road, will no longer showcase the CorpAcq brand and Sale FC will be announcing a new stadium naming partner in the coming days.

Sale Sharks Chief Executive Paul Smith said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome CorpAcq to the Sharks Family as our official stadium naming partner in what is a highly significant partnership for the club.

“We’ve enjoyed a long-standing relationship with CorpAcq and we’re excited to take that to the next level. CorpAcq’s commitment to supporting Sharks for the long term is clear, and together we hope to create opportunities for growth on and off the pitch.

“As one of the North West’s fastest-growing businesses, CorpAcq is deeply rooted in the region and that aligns perfectly with our values as a club.

“With CorpAcq’s backing, we want to build on recent success, deliver an even better matchday experience, and continue to grow rugby union across the North West.”

CorpAcq CEO David Martin said: “As a business, we’ve supported Sale Sharks for many years, and we’re delighted to extend that relationship as the club’s official Stadium Naming Partner. The Sharks are more than our local PREM Rugby team, they represent values that matter to us as a business: resilience, teamwork and excellence. This partnership reflects our commitment to championing a high-performance culture – both on the pitch and off it in the business world – and we are all excited about the journey ahead.”
