Sale Sharks can confirm that Head Coach Marco Bortolami has left his role at the club after his contract was terminated by mutual agreement due to unforeseen circumstances.
The 45-year-old, who won more than 100 caps for Italy during his career and was his country’s youngest ever captain at the age of 22, joined the club in June after leaving a similar role at Italian side Benetton Treviso.
Marco said: “I would like to thank everyone at Sale for making me feel so welcome during my time at the club. I wish the club every success.”
