ROLE: Assistant Groundskeeper and Maintenance Operative
HOURS OF WORK: Part time or Full time
SALARY: from £26k

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Maintenance and upkeep of the training pitches and grounds:
- Prepare pitches for play, including installing/removing flags and post protectors.
- Working as part of the groundskeeper team to maintain the upkeep of the pitches at Carrington
- Work within the schedule to ensure the pitches are ready for use at the times required
- Mow, line-mark, and maintain all rugby pitches to optimum standards
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, line markers, etc.).
- Maintain pitch-side equipment (flags, post protectors, goalposts).
- Remove litter and debris from pitches and club grounds.
Maintenance and upkeep of the site facility both internal and external:
- Painting
- Repairs
- Cleaning
- Taking deliveries
- Ensure that all equipment is maintained, used correctly and all relevant paperwork is completed daily, including fault reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential
- Qualified groundskeeper with experience
- Good practical understanding of pitch management and maintenance
- Positive and can-do attitude
- Good communication skills
- The successful candidate will need to have basic health and safety risk assessment knowledge,
- Ability to work without constant supervision and prioritise workload according to fixture lists and weather conditions.
- To work collaboratively as part of a two-man team.
Desirable
- Able to work with different stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels
- Proactive approach to spotting when standards aren’t up to scratch
