MATCH REPORT | SARACENS 54 v 0 SALE SHARKS WOMEN

Sale Sharks Women’s run of five wins from five games came to an end at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Showdown 6.

Tom Hudson’s side looked to make an early impact as Erica Jarrell-Searcy made a forty-metre break to within five which ultimately led to the first of three moments where Saracens were able to hold the ball up over their own try line.

Saracens were ruthless for the rest of the first half. On five minutes Liv Apps charged over the line before scores from Cleall, Senft and Packer followed.

The teams headed in at half time with Saracens 33-0 up as Sharks looked to rally for an uphill second half.

The second forty saw both teams front up and go blow for blow for 25 minutes until Kelsey Clifford and Lottie Sharp scored within minutes of each other a little after the hour mark.

A tough afternoon for the visitors finished with Jess Breach scoring on the final whistle to leave Sharks heading back North on the wrong end of a tough 54-0 loss.

The teams now head into the Six Nations break with Sharks final PWR fixture against Exeter coming at the beginning of June with a chance at the play-offs still on the cards.
