Scrum-half Willow Bell joined Sharks ahead of the 2021/22 season, and made her first start against Saracens in November 2021.
It was culmination of a rugby journey that began when Willow started playing at her local club in Burnley when she was 11 years old. She proceeded through the age range pathways, playing for Lancashire and the North of England at U15 and U18s level.
When Willow was 16 years old, she moved to Loughborough College to complete her A Levels and combined that with playing for the Academy and Loughborough Lightning.
When she was 18 years old, she moved back up north to study Criminology at Manchester Metropolitan University. She played for Ireland U20s at the 2023 Summer Tri Nations in Italy.
Willow names England centre Meg Jones as her sporting idol.
