At the Sale Sharks Foundation, we are incredibly grateful to have Sale Sharks legend and newly appointed England coach Byron McGuigan running for us on Sunday, May 18th, at the Great Manchester Run. Byron is a fan favourite and a Sale Sharks Ambassador.

Former Sale Sharks player and newly appointed coach for England, Byron McGuigan, will be running for the Sale Sharks Foundation on Sunday, May 18th, at the Great Manchester Run. During his illustrious career with Sale Sharks, McGuigan made over 100 appearances and scored an impressive 226 points. His dedication on the field exemplifies the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle, a core value that resonates deeply with the mission of the Sale Sharks Foundation.

Byron is honored to be an official starter of the Great Manchester Run, representing the Sale Sharks Family alongside other celebrities and iconic sports athletes from Manchester and beyond. He looks forward to embracing the day, soaking in the cheers from the crowd, and is especially excited to spot any Sale Sharks fans who will give him that extra boost.

Byron is raising money for the Sale Sharks Foundation, supporting their ongoing efforts to promote healthy, active lifestyles and create opportunities people of all ages to engage in rugby through the Foundation’s community programs.
