SHARKS AND FRANKLYN AGREE LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIP RENEWAL

15/06/2026

Sale Sharks and Franklyn Wealth Management are delighted to announce a long-term extension to their partnership which will see the Congleton-based business sponsor the club’s women’s team for the first time.

(L-R): Will Cliff (Head of Franklyn Elite Sports), Luisa d’Aprano (Sale Sharks Commercial Director), Andrew Chatterton (Franklyn Managing Director), Michelle Orange (Sharks co-owner), Paul Smith (Sharks CEO)

The club originally agreed a four-year deal with Franklyn, a leading provider of bespoke wealth management services, in 2020.

That deal, which saw the Franklyn’s logo take pride of place across the back shoulders of the men’s playing kit, was extended in 2024.

Now a new three-year agreement sees Franklyn extend their commitment to the club and its fans to include Sale Sharks Women, with the logo appearing from next season on the back of their playing kit in the PWR.

Branding will also appear pitchside at the Morson Stadium, in Sale, as well as the CorpAcq Stadium, and Franklyn will host an exciting match day takeover at both a men’s and a women’s fixture, further strengthening ties with the club’s loyal fanbase.

Andy Chatterton, Managing Director at Franklyn, said: “After six superb years of partnering Sale Sharks this renewal was an easy and natural decision.

“The Club, from the backroom team to the players and the owners, have been an integral part of Franklyn. The opportunity to partner with the women’s team along with the men’s team is great news and we are so pleased about this.

“Franklyn is a relationship business which fits with the DNA of the club. Being able to be a small part of the Sale Sharks journey is a privilege.”

Sharks’ Commercial Director Luisa d’Aprano said: “We are really excited to announce this renewal with Franklyn and we’re looking forward to how we develop the partnership over the next three years.

“We have seen great success with our women’s team, and we’ve got big plans going forward for next season and beyond, so it’s brilliant to see Franklyn on board supporting the women’s team as well.

“The extension of the agreement clearly demonstrates Franklyn’s dedication to the club and our fans and their commitment to building a genuine, mutually beneficial partnership.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to work closely with Andy and the team over the next three years.”
