At the SALE SHARKS FOUNDATION, we’re committed to using the power of rugby to create positive change. Over the past two years alone, we’ve impacted the lives of over 30,000 people through our programs focusing on education, inclusivity, employability, mental health and grassroots Rugby development. From supporting young people to achieve their potential to promoting healthy lifestyles, our work has touched communities across Greater Manchester and beyond.
Daniel Gregory, another passionate runner, will be taking part in the Great Manchester Run on Sunday, May 18th, representing the Sale Sharks Foundation. The Foundation has positively impacted thousands of lives, and now Daniel is giving back to the community by running on behalf of this amazing charity. His training is going well, and he’s hopeful to achieve a new 10k personal best next weekend!

Daniel’s journey into rugby began after watching the 2001 Lions Tour. Being from Manchester, he naturally found himself at Heywood Road, watching Sale Sharks games. Inspired by the dynamic back three of Steve Hanley, Mark Cueto, and Jason Robinson, Daniel pursued rugby with spells at Broughton Park, Trafford MV, and Bowdon, where his love for the sport grew.
Following an ACL injury at the start of the curtailed 2019/20 season, Daniel’s participation in sport shifted to running with his club, Kerb Runners. Despite this change, his passion for ensuring everyone has access to rugby and the family atmosphere and culture of respect it fosters remains strong. The work of the Sale Sharks Foundation in promoting these values is something Daniel deeply appreciates.

When the opportunity to run for the Sale Sharks Foundation arose, Daniel felt compelled to seize it. Combining his passions for running and rugby to give back and help others was an opportunity too good to pass up. Join us in supporting Daniel and the Sale Sharks Foundation as they continue to make a positive impact in the community.

Please join us in supporting Daniel as he aims to reach his fundraising target. Any contribution would go a long way in supporting the Sale Sharks Foundation to allow us to continue our amazing community programs.
