Scrum-half Carwyn Edwards joined Sale Sharks on a Senior Academy bursary contract ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The Wales u18 international started playing rugby when he was six at Clwb Rugby Wrexham, but didn’t come to Sharks’ attention until the age of 15, when a Wrexham coach recommended him for a trial.
Carwyn has been involved with the Welsh Rugby Union pathway since November 2022, when he made his debut for his country’s u18 side against England.
He went to school at Ysgol Dinas Bran where the school’s slogan was ‘success through effort’. During his time at school he qualified as a Level 2 fitness instructor.
He combines his training at Sale with his studies at university.
