TEAM NEWS – Harlequins v Sale Sharks

Sale Sharks have named their side to face Harlequins in round ten of the Gallagher Premiership. Director of Rugby Alex Sanderson continues to rotate his team, making eight changes to the Sharks starting line up ahead of their trip to The Stoop on Saturday 20th February. – (Kick-Off 1:00pm – Live on BT Sport Extra 2)

Fan favourite Will Cliff gets set to make his 200th Sale Sharks appearance as the 32-year-old is named at scrum half for the second consecutive match. World Cup winner Lood de Jager also returns to the Sharks matchday squad after 3 months side-lined through injury.

Valerey Morozov returns to the Sharks starting line-up for Saturday’s trip to west London and the Russian International joins Springbok Coenie Oosthuizen and Ewan Ashman a powerful front row. The Scotland U20 hooker will make his first start for Sale Sharks on Saturday.

In a complete re-shuffle of the second row, Josh Beaumont and Matt Postlethwaite join forces at lock with Powerhouse twins Jean-Luc and Daniel du Preez joining captain Jono Ross in an unchanged Sharks back-row.

Will Cliff and Rob du Preez will marshal an English based back line on Saturday. Brothers Luke and Sam James are named in the midfield together for the first time this season and Marland Yarde, Denny Solomona and Simon Hammersley make up a highly experienced back three.

In a forward dominated bench, Curtis Langdon, Bevan Rodd and Will-Griff John are named as front-row reinforcements with South Africans Lood de Jager and Cobus Wiese named alongside them. Cameron Neild provides further options for the Sharks pack.

Conor Doherty is chosen as cover for the Sharks back line alongside academy prospect Raffi Quirke. The England U20 scrum half prepares to make his Premiership debut from the bench.
