Sharks Unveil New Macron Kit For 2021/22 Season

Sale Sharks has today unveiled its brand new Macron home and away kits for the 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership season.

Featuring the traditional stripes that proved such a fans’ favourite in years gone by, the new home shirt is a modern take on the kit worn by the Sharks when they lifted the Premiership trophy 15 years ago.

The club’s famous navy blue is teamed with Macron’s royal blue and white to create a contemporary design laden with northern charm and Shark pride.

The away kit sees a return to the predominantly white colourway, but this time with a stylish grey and black camo twist on the chest section and shorts.

The club’s heritage is celebrated on the back of the shirts with an embossed shark fin 1861 logo, marking the year the club was formed.

And both shirts have a ‘body fit’ created from Armevo fabric, with bodytex integration, giving the garments lightness, perfect fit and breathability.

The kits, which are the first to be unveiled since the club signed a six-year deal with Italian technical sportswear giants Macron, celebrate the team, the community and the family that makes Sale Sharks unstoppable.

And that sense of community is celebrated with the ‘Fabric of the North’ kit release campaign, which features some of the Sharks Family wearing the kit at iconic north west locations.

Sharks and England star Ben Curry said: “The kit looks and feels amazing and I can’t wait to wear it in front of a full house at the AJ Bell Stadium when the Premiership season starts. I love the black and grey twist on the away kit too.

It’s brilliant to celebrate the club’s history and heritage and I think the supporters will really love it.”

Sale Sharks CEO Sid Sutton said: “We’re all really excited to share the first new kit from Macron. It’s a partnership we believe has the potential to take us to the next level on and off the pitch and these kits are just the start.

“Sale Sharks’ history is really important to the supporters and everyone who works at the club and these kits are a perfect way to both celebrate what we’ve achieved in the past and take us forward into a new era.”

The new Sharks home and away shirts, as well as a full bespoke range of club training and leisurewear, are available from the Sharks website today.

Your Sharks will wear the kit for the first time on Friday when they take on Jersey Reds in a pre-season friendly.

Sale Sharks Women will wear the new kit the following day when they kick off their Allianz Premier15s campaign against Worcester Warriors Women.
