Job title: Catering Assistant
Reports to: Catering Manager
Location: On-site at Carrington Training Ground
Hours of work: Part time, 20 hours per week, ideally 11am – 4.30pm, 4 days per week
Contract and salary: Permanent, £12.30 per hour
Sale Sharks is the only Premiership Rugby Union team in the North-West, playing top-flight rugby in the Gallagher Premiership and European Champions Cup, with an emerging Women’s team competing in the PWR. The role:
Due to the success and expansion of the Club, Sale Sharks are seeking an additional part-time catering assistant to work within and complement our existing kitchen team. This is a newly created role and will require someone who has strong interpersonal skills and can work within a small but mighty team.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring all equipment is ready for chefs to use the following day
• Ensuring the kitchen and eating area is clean and tidied down after each service
• Liaising with head chef for any basic food preparation in the kitchen
• General kitchen porter duties
• Ensuring all hygiene standards are maintained in line with 5-star hygiene rating
Qualifications & Experience:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Personable and good humour
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Familiarity with hygiene rating standards
• Basic catering knowledge
