Sale Sharks Women have signed scrum-half Amy Relf from PWR rivals Leicester Tigers ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 26-year-old, who was one of the original Tigers, having featured in the club’s first ever match in 2022, has signed a two-year deal to join Tom Hudson’s squad.

Amy first picked up a rugby ball at Edenbridge rugby club when she was just ten years old. At the age of 16 she moved to Loughborough College and represented the college team, Leicestershire and Midlands.
She stayed in Loughborough for university, and played in the BUCS league as well as playing for Loughborough Lightning before joining Tigers in 2022.
Amy said: “I want to keep learning and developing as a player and enjoying my rugby and I think Sale Sharks is the best place for me to do that.
“It’s a club built on passion and grit and you can tell from the outside that the culture at the club is really important. That’s something that’s really important to me.
“There are lots of good players in my position and I can’t wait to train with them and learn from them.”

Sharks Head Coach Tom Hudson said: “Amy was an absolute stalwart for our Leicester team.
“She was available for every single training session and every game. She’s not a big talker, but her work rate and her desire is second to none and people around her respond to that.
“She’s got plenty to learn around her game management but she has the fitness, the temperament and the potential to become a really top class scrum-half.”
