For the first time, Sale Sharks fans will have the chance to represent the Sharks Family, engage with the club on what’s important to the fanbase and discuss the issues that really matter to supporters by joining our new Fan Forum.
The fan group will comprise of between eight and 12 dedicated Sharks fans, representing different constituencies within the supporter base (such as disabled supporters, men’s and women’s season ticket holders, seniors and supporters who follow the club away from home).
It’s part of the club’s commitment to engage with supporters, strengthen dialogue and increase levels of fan involvement.
The group will be chaired, but not directed, by a member of the club’s commercial team and will meet each quarter to discuss challenges and concerns around topics such as ticketing, matchday experience and equality, diversity and inclusion.
Fans who want to join and help shape the club going forward can apply online. Applications will close on Friday 12th June, after which time responses will be reviewed and those who have the most relevant experience and meet the constituent needs of each group will be shortlisted.
Successful candidates will be invited to meet approximately three times a season and will be expected to give around two hours of their time for each meeting.
Following each meeting, full reports will be written up, and the club will commit, where possible and in the best interests of the club and wider fanbase, to act on the feedback of the group.
The key to being involved with the Fan Forum is the commitment to attend and actively participate in every meeting and represent the voice of the fan.
