KATY DALEY-MCLEAN KICKS OFF GIRLS RUGBY SKILL CLINICS

With the excitement of Sale Sharks Women’s, we are launching three events in the North West over the coming weeks.

Firstly U13-U18 Girls across the North West can make the most of learning from the best. England Rugby’s World Cup winning Captain and Fly Half, Katy Daley-McLean is hosting two kicking clinics. Daley-McLean will be visiting Bury RUFC and Sandbach RUFC, who are hosting the skills clinics on the 2nd and 4th of November respectively.

Daley-McLean has joined Sharks as a player coach as they embark on their first season in the Premier 15s along with eyeing a place with England in the upcoming World Cup next year. Katy firmly believes in developing the next generation of young players, a focal reasons for becoming a Shark in the offseason. Excitedly, she has teamed up with Sharks Community Trust to provide an evening of kicking skills. Katy will lead sessions alongside Sharks Community Trusts Coaches, who play for Sale Sharks Women and also coach in the Academy pathway.

On top of these kicking clinics lead by Katy, Sharks Community Trust are running a Rugby Development Day on the 28th of October at Sale Sharks Carrington Training Centre, the home of Sale Sharks Women. This day will focus on the defensive aspects of the game, through a player centred, game based approach, delivered in line with Sale Sharks Academy’s Sharks DNA.
