Openside flanker Tristan Woodman was born in Leeds but moved across the Pennines to Lytham St Annes as a toddler. He attended AKS Lytham school and played his junior rugby, from mini and junior level, at Fylde Rugby Club.
Tristan was put forward for a trial with the Sharks DPP by a school teacher and after attending two of the Sale Sharks Foundation’s summer camps at Myerscough College, he continued along the academy pathway.
Tristan was picked for the England under 18 squad in 2021 before going on to be a part of the squad for the Under 18s Six Nations in 2022.
