MATCH REPORT: Trailfinders Women vs Sale Sharks Women
Sale Sharks Women were edged out of their first ever knock-out game in their history away in Ealing with the full-time whistle blowing on a 33-14 win for the home side.
The first half was an incredibly physical forty minutes with both sides trading hard running and huge collisions in the autumn sunshine.
Sharks captain, Sharifa Kasolo, was the standout performer of the opening half with two tries from close range that left Sale ahead 5-14 at the break. The first was a pick and go to get the first points of the game and the second a powerful burst from metres out.

The only response from Ealing was a driving maul after 26 minutes, pulling them into a contest that Sale had done well do force ahead in.
The second half started with exactly the same intensity as the first and it was a full twenty minutes before either side made a dent on the scoreboard.
Grace White received the ball out wide and darted round the outside before dotting down under the posts to bring Trailfinders within two.
Three more tries followed from the home side spread across the last twenty minutes, putting the nail in the coffin for Sharks fans as the dream of a first final slipped away.
For fans heading back up the M6, the next chance to see the Sharks play will be in the JAECOO PWR curtain raiser on 21st November. Gloucester Hartpury travel to the Morson Stadium with tickets available here.
