The case of Sale Sharks player Nic Schonert was heard today, Tuesday 20 September, by an independent disciplinary panel chaired by Matthew O’Grady with Martyn Wood and Rob Vickerman.
Schonert received a red card for dangerous tackling, contrary to World Rugby Law 9.13, for making head on head contact with a high degree of danger during the match against Bath Rugby on 17 September. He accepted the charge.
He received a three match ban and will miss the following games:
20.09 v Leicester Tigers
26.09 v Newcastle Falcons
01.10 v Exeter Chiefs
