TEAM NEWS: TRAILFINDERS WOMEN vs SALE SHARKS WOMEN

Head Coach Tom Hudson has picked a team packed with experience as his Sharks prepare to take on Trailfinders Women in the club’s first ever JAECOO PWR Next Gen Cup semi-final on Saturday (KO 12pm).

Sharifa Kasolo leads a team featuring three summer signings including PWR winner Lizzie Goulden at fly-half against a team who Sharks beat last time out at the Trailfinders Sports Ground.

Shark #100 Milly Hyndman will start between experienced props Tysh Harper and Nick James in the front row against Trailfinders, while Polly Bowman teams up with Charlotte Fray in a powerful second row.

In the back row, former Loughborough Lightning forward Kendall Waudby starts at openside flanker alongside blindside flanker Katie Childs and skipper Kasolo, who spoke this week about using her big game experience to help a young Sharks team.

Amy Relf is the scrum-half once again with Goulden at fly-half and they’ll have the international experience of Vicky Irwin and Beatrice Rigoni outside them in the centres.

Wingers Sophie Hopkins and Holly Thorpe make up an unchanged back three with Freya Aucken.
