Sale Sharks Foundation launches first ever Foundation Day

Sale Sharks’ last home game of the Premiership season against Leicester Tigers has plenty riding on it as Al’s men chase a fourth consecutive win and another top four finish.

But off the field, Friday 10th May is going to be a history-making day too for the club’s charity partner as the Sale Sharks Foundation holds its first ever Foundation Day.

The special day will celebrate the life-changing work done by the Foundation in schools and communities right across the North West.

Sharks fans coming to the game will have a chance to join first team players and staff in signing a community wall of pride, showing solidarity with the Foundation.

And through a raffle and silent auction packed with money-can’t-buy prizes, the Foundation is hoping to raise much-needed funds to make sure they can continue to change the lives of people all over the region.

Secure your raffle ticket and auction entry here.

Prizes on offer include signed shirts and used match balls from the 2023/24 season, and personalised meet and greet experiences with Sharks past and present including Will Cliff, Manu Tuilagi, George Ford and Raffi Quirke.

Top prizes include the Foundation ‘golden ticket experience’ which includes two signed shirts, Sale Sharks goodies, and a tour and meet and greet with the players at the club’s Carrington training ground; and a VIP matchday experience with the club’s owners.

If you want to support the Foundation, you can also make an online donation. Anyone giving five pounds or more will be automatically added into a draw for two season tickets of the 2024/2025 season.

Sale Sharks Foundation CEO Abi Dean said: “Our Foundation Day is a celebration of our commitment to making a real difference to the lives of thousands of people in our community and the positive impact we continue to make right across the North West.

“None of this would be possible without the generous support of our donors, trustees, partners and supporters. That support enables us to work with an increasing number of people each year.”

The last year has brought unprecedented challenges for households across Sale and the wider North West region, emphasizing the crucial role the Sale Sharks Foundation plays in supporting local communities during times of need.

With a commitment to making a positive impact, the Foundation has proudly touched the lives of over 35,000 people over the past three years, fostering connections and opportunities through the power of sport.
