Foundation Day, in partnership with UBS, returns on Sunday 17 May, as Sale Sharks host Leicester Tigers at the CorpAcq Stadium, with supporters invited to come together, get involved and help make a lasting difference for communities across the North West.
Now in its third year, Foundation Day has become a key date in the season, shining a light on the life‑changing work of Sale Sharks Foundation, the club’s official charity. Harnessing the spirit of the club and the power of rugby, the Foundation works to boost health, fight inequality and foster a sense of belonging across the region.
Guided by its Levelling the Field strategy, the Foundation takes a community‑led approach to tackling some of the North West’s most pressing challenges, including health inequalities, social isolation and limited access to opportunity.
Funds raised through Foundation Day ensure this vital work – across programmes in education, community inclusion and rugby development – can continue to grow and reach those who need it most.
Get Involved on Matchday
Supporters attending Foundation Day can get involved in a range of activities around the stadium, adding extra energy and purpose to the matchday experience, while helping to raise vital funds, including:
- Rugby Darts and Skill Zone
- Photo opportunities with Sale Sharks players
- A raffle and silent auction featuring exclusive, ‘money‑can’t‑buy’ prizes
- The chance to meet Foundation staff and programme participants and learn more about the Foundation’s impact in communities across the North West
