Back-rower Katie Moore made her Sharks Women debut in September 2022, making her Shark #67.
Katie played her junior rugby at Ellesmere Port, before moving on to Chester RUFC. She played age grade rugby for Cheshire, before appearing for Lancashire Women in the Gill Burns County Championship.
She combined her studies at Manchester Metropolitan University with her rugby.
Flanker Katie Moore joined Sale Sharks Women ahead of the 2022/23 season after a successful trial.
She had been playing her rugby at Chester Rugby Club and at county level before making the step up to become a Shark.
Katie started playing rugby at the age of 15 when her high school teacher suggested she join a mixed gender game. The school didn’t have a rugby team at the time but undeterred, Katie joined her local club, Ellesmere Port.
She played there for three years, becoming captain in her final season, before joining Chester, where she was named vice-captain of the Chester Devas. She played one season at senior level before joining Sharks.
Outside of rugby, Katie is studying Sports and Exercise Science at Manchester Metropolitan University and says her sporting hero is former Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard.
