Sale Sharks signed former Gloucester-Hartpury hooker Kelsey Jones ahead of the 2026/27 JAECOO PWR season.
The Welsh international left Kingsholm at the end the 2025/26 season after playing 69 times for the club following her debut against Worcester in 2018.
She scored 25 tries for Gloucester, including the opening try in the club’s first PWR final triumph in 2023. She missed the 2024 final through injury, and was also kept out of the whole of the 2024/25 season, but returned in 2025/26 to play thirteen games and score seven tries as Gloucester topped the table.
She was the fourth Gloucester-Hartpury player to swap Kingsholm for the Morson Stadium, following the signings of Zoe Stratford, Sarah Beckett and Tatyana Heard.
On the international scene, Kelsey made her international debut for Wales in 2017 and has gone on to win more than 50 caps and played in three World Cups.
She was ever present during the 2026 Six Nations starting all five of Wales’ matches at hooker and scoring three tries – against Scotland, England and Italy.
