Travel advice

Sale Sharks advise all spectators that the stadium car park is fully booked. There will be specially appointed stewards to ensure that there is no unauthorised parking. Demand for parking at Barton Airport is likely to be very high.

We are advised that traffic around Barton Bridge is likely to be extremely heavy, with Christmas shoppers heading towards The Trafford Centre.

Shuttle buses exclusive to Sale Sharks fans will run from Eccles and Irlam train stations, and we recommend this method of approaching the venue. The departure times of the shuttle buses are arranged to meet incoming trains.

The costs are £3.00 return single passenger or £6.00 = 2Adults 2 Children or £5 = 1 adult 2 children, a saving of around 50% on normal bus fares (£2.10 single fare)

You can book a place on any park & ride or shuttle service by emailing travel@salfordcitystadium.com or calling 0161 820 2610.

Here’s the travel plan for the game which has been on this website since last weekend.

Beat the Christmas shopping traffic by arriving early – we will be showing Toulouse v Ospreys on Sky Sports in the Sharks Fan Bar AND all stand concourses at 1.35pm.

Why not stick around after the match as well? Munster v Saracens will be screened in the Fan Bar at 6pm.
